Current President, Past Vice President
Non-Profit Board of over 15 separate Committees, providing support to all students and teachers of the District, in three schools, grades K through 12. Oversight of over 70 activities and events each academic year throughout the District, including marketing strategies, budget oversight, volunteer recruitment and training, hosting and moderation, and mentorship to committee chairs. Member of District Safety and Security and Strategic Planning Committees, including involvement in two-day planning conference for new District Strategic Plan. Hiring Committees for multiple faculty and administrator general and special education positions. Planned and hosted Forums for Trustee Candidates for Board of Education.

Class of 2018
Graduate of rigorous and selective professional leadership program, over nine-month period, focusing on development of leadership skills and participation in non-profit board governance. Developed personal mission and explored opportunities for personal and professional growth to align with that mission through monthly workshops, attending leadership panel presentations, volunteerism in various activities, and support of classmates and alumni going forward.
SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher Assn), Tuckahoe PTA
Past Chairperson
Provided support and informational sessions to children with special needs and their families in the district. Arranged for speakers for students and parents, including planning and moderating numerous assemblies. Supported families with special education issues as a resource and liaison to school faculty and administration, and informally assisted with helping them negotiate conflicts.
Building Bridges Program, Tuckahoe UFSD
Past Co-Director
Developed for Tuckahoe, organized, and implemented innovative program which provided awareness lessons to children in grades K through 5 about persons with different abilities, including blindness, hearing impairment, autism, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. Included development of grade level appropriate curriculum lessons and materials for each subject area. Trained over 50 volunteers each year to provide classroom lessons. Arranged for and coordinated speakers for six grade-level assemblies. Moderated such assemblies.
Certified Special Education Parent Member
February of 2018 to present
Approved by the Board of Education to serve as a support and resource to Special Education parents during Annual Review Meetings to determine needs and supports required for special education students, providing ongoing service in Tuckahoe Union Free School District.
